Gunilla Klingberg Sweden / Sparspace 1999

...what looks normal at the first glance, an object, a behaviour, can at a closer look turn out to be totally absurd...

Henrik Plenge Jakobsen Denmark / Laughing Gas House 1998
A play house with laughing gas connection, IKEA furniture and built-in telephone. Henrik Plenge Jakobsen's installation seems childish and playful, yet is also enclosed and addictive.

Gunilla Klingberg Sweden / Sparspace 1999 & Sparspace Loop 1999
A wall installation and a computer animation. The pleasing appeal of the Sparlivs supermarket logotype entrances us and fills us with a frightened delight.

Aernout Mik Holland / Float 1998
As always with Aernout Mik, a mix of the common and the absurd. In his video installation, we see two people lying down on a shaking pavement. It is unclear what has happened to them.

Mija Renström Sweden / No Title 1999
Crocheting is a nice and peaceful pastime that is traditionally seen as something fit for ladies, but in her installation, Mija Renström gives crocheting a completely new and threatening aspect.

Martin Sjöberg Sweden / Agreement # 1-4 1999
Martin Sjöberg continues his investigation into white, male aggression with a series of large colour photographs that pose questions about the roots of aggression and its breeding ground.
