David Svensson's work contains elements of art, design and social situations, in which the viewer becomes an important part of the work. For Index, he has re-designed our video lounge.

The installation includes a circular painting that catches the light and its appearance changes depending on where the viewer is in the room. One possible position is suggested by the artist with the placement of a carpet opposite the painting. A carpet, partly fastened to the wall, which is both a place to sit and an artwork. An image appears in the carpet due to changes in the directions of the pile. From here, you can look at the circular painting, watch a video from our collection or just take it easy. The carpet too changes appearance, the image depending on how the light catches it. A motion in the work is created and a time element that reinforces the image's temporary nature.

Welcome!
